we were just a table next to a bouncy castle
Within the span of 14 days, one instagram post, one google meets call and a table with art supplies next to a bouncy castle at a charity festival. This was all it took to bring together a group of talented, passionate and creative individuals to start senisini.

ART SHOULD BE FOR EVERYONE
From our shared conversations of the barriers and journeys of navigating art expression and creativity in Singapore, we wanted to pass on what we’ve learnt and experienced to others.
ALL ABOUT COMMUNITY
We just wanted to create a free and creative space for everyone and anyone to come, make art, and learn from one another.
Across different mediums, experiences, backgrounds and ages, all connected by a love for the arts.

ARE YOU ONLY
4 MALAY PEOPLE?
You would be surprised by how often we get this question and
the answer is absolutely not!
Some of our earlier motivations when starting senisini did stem from our shared sentiments of feeling underrepresented in art spaces.
Our minority-led team came together to build this space, celebrating everyone in diversity whilst making it inclusive for those who resonated with our sentiments.
We are not a “malay thing”, we are just making space for our art, and for it to be seen.
