SENISOMETHINGNEW: STAMP IT, SERAI STYLE!
Step into the colourful past of Geylang Serai and uncover the stories behind its local businesses told through the humble name card. Once tools of trade and identity, these small prints carried big dreams, creativity, and pride in craft.
In this hands-on session, rediscover how design once shaped branding and storytelling in the area and make your own stamp-based name card inspired by traditional trades like songkok makers, perfumers or opticians.
Walk away with ink on your hands, your very own keepsake and a renewed appreciation for the artistry that shaped Geylang Seraiβs entrepreneurial spirit.
SENISOMETHINGNEW: LISTENING ROOM 1 - P.RAMLEE & FRIENDS
An intentional sound space to drift through the eras of Malay music - together.
Dig through old Malay records and discover the sounds that shaped Geylangβs music scene with vinyl collectors and sound curators @vinylheavy and @itch_sg (together as @heavyitch).
Two eras. P. Ramlee & Friends and Pop Yeh Yeh. These rooms focus on appreciating the voices, sounds and cultural shifts that paved the way for Singaporeβs music landscape today.
SENISOMETHINGNEW: THREADS OF GEYLANG
Geylang Serai has long been woven with stories of textiles, tailors and traditions passed from hand to hand.
In this tactile workshop, weβll thread together the connections between fabric, craft and community.
Threads of Geylang invites you to learn simple stitching, try textile stamping and upcycle old clothes with motifs inspired by the neighbourhood from batik prints to woven carpet patterns.
Along the way, weβll explore how fabric connects people, culture and nature, and how small acts of mending can renew more than just what we wear.
SENISOMETHINGNEW: MEMORY GARDENS
What memories bloom when you think of Geylang Serai?
In this experimental floral design workshop, weβll explore the areaβs cultural and personal stories through our 5 senses.
Using fresh produce from Geylang Serai Market β think lemongrass, coconut leaves, ginger and other seasonal items often found in traditional cooking and ceremonies β together with simple floral materials, you'll create an arrangement inspired by a personal or shared memory of the area.
To complete your piece, document your creation in a mini zine, an archive of your story in bloom and a keepsake to bring home from the garden of Geylang.
SENISOMETHINGNEW: LISTENING ROOM 2 - POP YEH YEH
An intentional sound space to drift through the eras of Malay music - together.
Dig through old Malay records and discover the sounds that shaped Geylangβs music scene with vinyl collectors and sound curators @vinylheavy and @itch_sg (together as @heavyitch).
Two eras. P. Ramlee & Friends and Pop Yeh Yeh. These rooms focus on appreciating the voices, sounds and cultural shifts that paved the way for Singaporeβs music landscape today.

art club at kampongseni
artclub : maybe you really like art but think you're bad at it, maybe you're good at making art but too scared to share it - this weeks art club is about remembering that sometimes it's not that deep (but it can be if you want it to be...)
we will be sharing some artwork and how artists have expressed themselves using different themes and mediums whilst making a group artwork together
come make art with senisini
for our final art club at kampongseni, a residency activated by @visitkamponggelam, our senileaders walked the kommuniti through different artworks and the contexts of the stories and artists behind the art.
By focusing on the humans of the art and their processes, we wanted the room to see the bigger picture of art making and how it goes beyond "painting/drawing well".
The kommuniti worked on group pieces where they tried integrating some of these techniques from the artists - expressing themselves, together!
